Bioqube Ventures, an emerging life sciences investment firm, today announces the appointment of Tessa Ceyssens as Chief Operating Officer (COO). With her arrival, Bioqube Ventures adds a seasoned senior executive to its leadership team to support the continued build-out and professionalisation of the organisation in a rapidly evolving and dynamic market.
Tessa joins Bioqube Ventures as part of a broader strengthening of the leadership team. In her role as COO, she will oversee the firm’s core operational functions, including Finance, Legal, ESG and Communications.
Prior to joining Bioqube Ventures, Tessa served as Chief Financial Officer and Risk Officer at Fortino Capital. In that capacity, she was responsible for financial structures, governance and reporting processes, and played a key role in the firm’s growth and scaling. Her combination of financial expertise and operational leadership closely aligns with the needs of Bioqube Ventures at its current stage of development.
“As our portfolio and organisation continue to expand, so does the complexity of our operations,” said Nico Vandervelpen, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Bioqube Ventures. “Bringing Tessa on board is a deliberate step to structurally strengthen our internal organisation. Her experience and operational rigor are essential to supporting our strategy in a sustainable way.” “What attracted me to Bioqube is the way deep scientific expertise is combined with a strong entrepreneurial mindset,” said Tessa Ceyssens, COO of Bioqube Ventures. “I very much look forward to contributing to the development of an efficient, scalable and growth-oriented organisation that supports biotech companies in delivering meaningful impact for patients.”
