Capital Group launches Capital Learning and appoints Team

Capital Group, one of the largest and most experienced investment companies in the world, with assets under management of approximately US$2.2 trillion*, today announced the launch of Capital Learning, a client-centric training service for institutional and intermediary clients based in Europe and Asia Pacific.

Capital Learning will be led by Leo Niers, Head of Client Education, Europe and Asia, and Kyoko Shimada joins Capital Group as Head of Client Education, Japan. They will work closely to develop this dedicated offering for clients.

Leveraging Capital Group’s investment expertise, Capital Learning will share knowledge and content with clients on investment concepts and trends, as well as provide practice management training modules. Programmes will be tailored to the needs of clients and available in different formats including interactive workshops, webinars, videos and podcasts.

Capital Learning builds on Capital Group’s experience in the US of providing training and education to clients via the firm’s practice management platform, PracticeLab®. The team in Europe and Asia Pacific will utilise this expertise to partner with clients to help them achieve their goals.

Leo joins from Franklin Templeton, where he was responsible for leading a team of learning consultants across EMEA, and for implementing an internal and external education strategy. He has more than 10 years’ experience in building and delivering content for clients, and has held several roles across the industry, including at AXA Investment Management and PIMCO.

Kyoko joins from abrdn, where she was Head of Marketing, Japan and Korea; prior to that, she was Head of Marketing Japan at Fidelity. She brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, digital, brand and communications to the role.
